House of Chen
About This Spot
Stepping into House of Chen feels like entering a warm and welcoming nook tucked into the heart of Cranberry Township. The quiet hum of conversation mingles with the soft clinking of chopsticks, while the gentle presence of a live fish pond near the entrance sets a calm, almost meditative tone. This is not just a spot to grab a quick bite; it’s a place to slow down, enjoy the paced rhythm of an inviting meal, and connect with moments both familiar and a little bit special.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between polished and homey — comfortable booths invite diners to settle in, while the thoughtfully curated touches, like Koi fish swimming serenely nearby, draw a subtle line between tradition and local charm. It’s an environment where families watch little ones delight in feeding the fish outside, and longtime regulars slide into their favorite booth, greeted by staff who make you feel more like a neighbor than a customer.
On the plate, the experience unfolds thoughtfully. Here, classic Chinese flavors aren’t just presented—they’re savored slowly, from the warmth of egg flower soup to the satisfying crispness of freshly made egg rolls. Menus are generous, with dishes like Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef offering comforting familiarity, while carefully crafted specialties bring moments of surprise and depth. Portions feel generous without overwhelming, encouraging sharing and discovery across the table.
House of Chen isn’t the kind of place that rushes you through your meal. Instead, it invites you to linger, to enjoy the layers of flavor alongside the warmth of attentive and genuinely friendly service. The care in every detail—from the freshness in the kitchen to the thoughtful touches in the dining room—makes it more than just a restaurant, but a steady go-to for those moments when you want good food wrapped in quiet confidence and a gentle, welcoming spirit.

Everything about this restaurant was superb. The atmosphere was excellent. The restaurant was clean the booths were comfortable. The waitress was super friendly and attentive, and the food was hot and delicious. It’s a little bit more money but it’s worth it. I love that they have a fish tank with live fish swimming right next to you. It’s so cool and before you walk in, there’s an actual pond with fish in it. ( sorry about the general TSO’s pics. I ate it before I remembered to take a picture.) I’d like to point out though for their children’s menu they do not have any American food so no french fries or nothing like that it’s just Chinese food my grandson will not eat Chinese food so I just figured I’d let people know about that if they have a picky eater like mine.

The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the portions were gigantic. Our server was fantastic… He had a great sense of humor. They have this wonderful Koi paw outside and give the kids fish food to feed the fish. My daughter thought this was the best thing ever she had an absolute blast. And I had two more meals from my one meal. It was so good

Boy! Let me tell you. When the General Tso's Chicken has a spicy chili symbol on the menu. Believe it. It is great. I'll definitely be stopping by again and again.

This place was really good. Stopped in for lunch by recommendation by my friend and it did not disappoint. Very cute interior. Delicious food. I ordered the general tsos shrimp .

Our first time in this area and was craving Chinese food. We found this place on Google maps not too far from our hotel. We both had egg flower soup. I had the Triple Delight and my husband had the Empress Chicken. I also got an egg roll to try after seeing another guest’s egg roll. They are definitely made in house as they are fat. Everything was really delicious, I can see why they have 4.5 stars! If you love Chinese food, try this place. It’s delicious!

A great place to go for a relaxing lunch, not to mention the great food. There's quite a variety of food and tons of vegan options, which I'm partial to. You won't be disappointed here Serving portions are great, quality ingredients and a wonderful flavor profile. Don't like Asian food but your family does? Get the wings! Yep. This place is a complete package for everyone.

I loved it here ! It's a beautiful establishment. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I had one of the best egg rolls of my life here. Also, the spicy mustard will clear your sinuses. I had the empress chicken and it came with mixed vegetables and a big enough portion that I will get a second meal out of it. I can not wait to try everything else on the menu ! My only complaint is that the fried rice that came with my meal was a little soggy. I will go for the steamed rice next time

The food here is actually very good—compliments to the kitchen. However, the service made it hard to enjoy the meal. Our waitress was dismissive and unfriendly from the start. She barely spoke to us and didn't acknowledge our questions/requests. I see others have had better service, may be not the best day. The most disappointing moment was when we simply asked for water without ice and she actually rolled her eyes at the request. We would love to come back for the food, but the lack of basic politeness is a major deterrent.
